BFF
by Keng-Fun Loh
This is my thank-you note to Uncles Arnold, Charles, Chin Aik and Eng Ann – Dad’s fellow octogenarians from ACS’s class of 1953 and faithful friends for over 60 years. Every week without fail, a text message arrives: “How is Dad? Will he be coming tomorrow?” And so Dad goes out and stays socially connected despite his medical condition: a walk in the Botanic Gardens, prata at Evans Road, lunch at the club or a visit to the house if he is unable to go out. I believe this has a tremendous impact on his well-being. So, thank you, gentlemen.
